New Research Indicates A 'Troubled' Greenhouse Is Brewing

"'We know the gathering greenhouse will be warm, but this new information confirms that the contrast between the rainy season and the dry season will increase dramatically,' says Greg Retallack, whose study indicating that a troubled greenhouse is brewing is published in the April issue of the journal Geology."

I wonder just how big of a temperature spike humanity could hit this world with if they really tried, I am talking about each and every man woman and child doing his part in getting those greenhouse gasses in to the atmosphere.
Say for instance, what if the oil ran out in fifteen to twenty years and desperate mobs burned any tree within 50 miles of each and every city town and village on the planet. And dug out and burned all the coal in a frantic attempt to stay warm and keep their hastily built electricity generating steam engines going.
And say this last ditch save civilization frenzy went on for twenty years; might it get a little toasty on dear old planet earth?
