'Human-brained' monkeys (includes must-see photo)

"The committee will also examine how detectable differences in the monkey's brains, for example emotional or behavioural changes, or if the monkeys developed 'self awareness', could be measured - and dealt with." (Via The Anomalist.)

I have a creeping suspicion that "dealt with" is an expedient euphemism for "killed." After all, we don't want animals getting too smart, do we? I mean, hasn't everyone seen "Planet of the Apes"?

"Planet of the Grapes" -- that would make a killer parody.

For the film version of After the Martian Apocalypse we'll have to cast him as Seth Shostak. :)

"Dolphin steak"!? Good god! As far as I'm concerned that's worse than cannibalism.

"Dolphin", besides being a sea mammal, also is the name for a tasty game fish. Also known as Dorado, dolphin is a feisty little fish, with no blowhole, or live birth, or big brain.

Flipper is safe. :)

Besides, I always thought HOA types eat their own.

That monkey at the linked site looks like he's been smoking something besides Marlboros... :)
