OK. I need to get this nude/cheesecake photography business under control. Henceforth, this blog will feature a "Posthuman Pin-up of the Week." (Maybe an extra one on the 23rd of each month -- just because.)

Here's this week's:

Nothing especially "posthuman," but she'll have to do.

You know why I hate you? Because you post these pics left, right and center (hurrah for you, btw), and nary a peep of criticism from the ufological killjoy / attack-dogs. Me, I post photos of people I actually KNOW, with more clothes on, and I get accused of being a misogynist!

It just ain't fair, I tells ya!! :-)

Paul

P.S. Keep up the good work!!

Good work...

I'll try to rise to the challenge, pun intended.

"Good work" can have some diverse interpretations, as can be determined in the sociopathic charade that is a history largely written by and as a result of those self-same sociopaths. You have to learn to read between the lines of all of it, or read a different book...

One book that springs to mind is Riane Eisler's "The Chalice and The Blade: Our History, Our Future...". This is an illuminating and readable if scholarly work about the male/female dynamic that Ashley Montagu showcased as the most important book since "Origin Of The Species..." With all modesty or humility and in a manner that can only be completely pedestrian, I concur.

Upon its completion... the above... appreciation... you have headlined has a polite "table" just staring into their plates with embarrassment..." As any reflexively imposed expression of graceless ideology probably should...

I'm in no way revolted by the female form, nor am I in any way (I think) emasculated by it, intimidated by it, threatened by it, overawed in its regard, worshipful of it... or remotely disquieted by it. I offer the following URLs, pictures I have painted in more traditional media or electronically that I suspect supports this contention:

alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/2006/04/water-on-moon.html

alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/2006/03/i-know-that-im-obnoxious.html

alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/2006/03/well-into-my-majority.html

alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/2006/01/not-watching-sky.html

alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/2006/01/i-would-live-forever.html

...and lastly?

www.alienview.net/avwobird.jpg

...a hybrid I produced that sums up my whole attitude about the *sisterhood* neatly. You can't see it in the reproduction, but the woman's facial reflection ripples with a few drops of blood in the water and wounds on her face indicate she's been struck repeatedly... ...abused. True story.

Still, her breasts are insolent and she has a grace that the male animal continues to long for. There a terror and a wonder and an astonishment provoked even as she has been disrespected and you wonder that the abuser just doesn't realize what he has... ...and what is soon to depart? You don't know what you want till it's gone, right?

Moreover, an inappropriate attitude at the start might preclude one from ever having the opportunity longed for, at all. That's up to you. Each of us has to cross that particular Rubicon or not. We discover that we know the difference.

Perhaps a function of passing a point in my life that has me "looking back" more than "looking forward" I find myself increasingly askance and akimbo with regard to traditional views and attitudes regarding the required interface betwixt the male and the female of the species... ...the *intercourse* if you will... ...In a post modern sense? I am evolving. Respectfully? You might consider same.

Hopelessly wrapped in an outmoded, more and more irrelevant, and finally invalidated ideology of the pre-modern, our Mr. Kimball doesn't get it... but I suspect you can, Mr. Tonnies. You'll be saving a lot of time as a result, imo, credit yourself et sig al in the short and long run... and yes, I suspect, even get laid more often. [g].

Sincerely, internalize some of the preceding to have womanhood open like a flower before you, Sir. Mr. Kimball is correct! Any alternative is only a misogyny of varying degree, and no profit for woman _or_ man.

Like I said, ufological kill-joys and prudes (that would be Mr. L), no matter how many words they use to dress it up, nor how much they doth protest (too much, methinks).

Some people just don't get it.

Onward, young sirrah!

Well, you make up your own mind Mr. T.

Sift and weigh on your own recognizance.

On the one hand you have reasoned and respectful discourse with learned citation. On the other hand you have bumptious labeling, fatuous insult, and the faintest name calling...

If you have a close female friend ask her opinion...

I'll say no more on the matter, Sir, but consider... Mr. Kimball thought he was siccing me on you, I suspect... and isn't it interesting how that actually turned out?

As a female, I figured I could add my $0.02.

The way I see it, it's Mac's blog, and he can post whatever the heck he wants to on it.

If I felt Mac was objectifying instead of admiring the women in the pictures he posts, I might take offense to it, but personally I don't see that. (Though the "she'll have to do" on today's entry is a mite more flippant than I'm used to seeing.) ;o)

So while I do find myself opening this blog and thinking, "Oh, hello!" on occasion, the random scantily clad female showing up in this blog doesn't bother me a bit.

No, Mr. L, I was just pointing out your hypocrisy, that's all. Like I said, you still don't get it.

Aas Jezzie said, it's Mac's blog. He can do as he likes. Just as I can. Just as you do. Then it's up to the readers to decide who they want to read.

Or you could just tell people what they should think, lest they be branded as... [fill in the blank], which is your stock in trade. Boo, hiss!

Funny -- that's the way I see it, too.

So when does a picture get more comments than Mac's actual words?

I've been wondering the same thing. And the picture, while nice, isn't *great*. I mean, I can find better. Till next week!

"No, Mr. L, I was just pointing out your hypocrisy, that's all. Like I said, you still don't get it."

~~~You really need to move past this 'I know you are but what am I' level of retort. The hypocricy you're bleating about is your own, plainly. I wrote a cited position paper explaining same to which you whine fallacial distortion and virtual inanity.
"Aas Jezzie said, it's Mac's blog."
~~~Right... ...AND? SO!?

"He can do as he likes."

~~~Yeah... ...AND? SO!?
"Just as I can. Just as you do. Then it's up to the readers to decide who they want to read."
~~~Uh-huh... ...I should just refrain from commenting on the commentary myself, I suppose... ...Lest I, well... how do you put it?

"Or you could just tell people what they should think, lest they be branded as... [fill in the blank], which is your stock in trade. Boo, hiss"!

~~~ROFL!
~~~A simple review of the now considerable record provides _ample_ demonstration, SIR, that I have only EVER been guilty of being forthright in telling a respected reader (in a respectful language) what _I_ think (...that privilege you would appear to deny me, oddly) . It is YOU, Mr. Kimball, glib and handy with the "What" and "How."

~~~Of course Mr. T can think/write/do as he pleases. He can wear dog-turds on his head like Dali did for awhile... but I'll drop him a note about skin breaching intestinal parasites, heart-worms, and hydrophobia, eh?
~~~He's not a bad guy, stands to exceed even your lofty *contribution,* and I bear him no ill will, at all.

~~~It would seem to me that you suggest I should apologize for having a position that I can support pretty well, where you can only continue to prosecute an immaturity capable only of flinging invective and arguing fatuous straw-men you contrive entirely yourself.
~~~Step off SpongeBob, make your trumpet a _funnel_ for awhile. You're only making yourself look incredibly petty, clearly inconsistent, and certainly Cro-Magnon.

~~~No apologies here...
My Equally-likely responses
1) Softcore would have fully exposed breasts
2) True enough. On the other hand, non-pornographic female nudity is a long-standing and fine tradition on this blog. I used to come here for the thinkwanking on consciousness and the far future, then I came for the fiction, now I pretty much come for whatever the hell he cares to post.
Like damn near everything else, what you get out of it is a function of what you bring to it.
Call it exegesis if you like.
Every goddamn time, apparently (and yes, I know: by commenting, I too am adding to the the problem :D )
My plan has succeeded! Time to implement Phase Two!
