Interestingly, my girlfriend exhibits some symptoms of synesthesia from time to time. It leads to some very strange conversations sometimes(although by this point I've figured out what all the "blendings" mean), such as this fairly common one:

"What do you want for dinner tonight?"

"How about something with red flavor?"

She'd actually never heard the term until she met me and I told her what it was.
